Wolfgang Feierbach's amazing psychedelic plastic house

The Monsanto House of the Future inspired me to become an architect. Really, they shoulda stuck to plastics, it was brilliant, a " glimpse of carefree futuristic living inside a plastic-walled floating cruciform structure with picture phones, height-adjustable sinks, dishes washed by ultrasonic waves, and atomic food preservation. When they tried to knock it down in 1967 the wrecking balls just bounced off it.

While it was a famous plastic house, it certainly wasn't the only one. On io9, they round up a few we have shown on TreeHugger, including the Monsanto house, the Leningrad plastic house, and the Futuro House.
