Last week I described Five of the Ten greenest buildings of 2013 chosen by the American Institute of Architects, mostly the ones that we had shown before on TreeHugger. These are ones I had not seen before and took a little little more time.

Here is a lovely building that takes advantage of a lovely climate. Architects EHDD write:
Marin Country Day School’s Strategic Plan aspires to make ecological literacy an integral part of its curriculum, and to reinforce the students’ sense of connection with nature on their very special site....The students participated in the design process, researched options, documented the construction, monitored results, and taught their parents about the buildings once they were complete.
