A Looping Pier Would Connect Floridians to the Waterfront

St Petersburg, Florida is looking to replace the mall, shaped like an inverted pyramid, at the end of its quarter mile long pier. Hoping to swap the retail space for a landmark that will draw its citizens to the waterfront, the City launched a design competition last June. Now, the entries have been narrowed down to three finalists, including the Wave, a looping entry from BIG Architects.
