Hybrid albatross are fairly rare. They are a mix of Black-Footed and Laysan -- one of each shown above. Typically, albatross mate for life, or at least will stay faithful as long as their mate shows up to have a chick each year. The two species have different courtship dances and don't prefer to mate with members of a different species. But sometimes toward the end of the mating season, hormones can be raging and, well, things happen. Let's just say if they were human, one would end up in jail.
