The cities of Baltimore and Washington, DC lie in one of the most congested regions of the United States. Development during the past ten to twenty years has been rampant and large sections of forest have been cleared to make way for new housing developments and shopping centers.

Marcin is an avid hiker and covered more than 5,000 hikes in the area. Now the pockets of rural farmland and forest where he used to walk are almost all gone.
