TreeHugger has been on a photography roll lately, and Karl Blossfeldt is one of the greats of botanical photography. He was a German photographer working in the 1920's who was obsessed with photographing plants and flowers.

A show at London's Whitechapel Gallery shows how his work influenced art nouveau and modernism.
