Art may not be the first thing one thinks of when they think about environmentalism or sustainability, but when it comes to reaching the masses or helping people think in new ways, there are few things as inspiring as art. After looking back through the works we covered last year, these were the 22 pieces that I found to be the most inspiring.

This collection contains intricate book carvings, elaborate sand labyrinths, time-lapse videos, underwater sculpture gardens and many more varied and creative ideas. While the form and techniques vary greatly, what brings them all together is their common purpose, which is to make us think about our natural world, our impact on the environment and the need for positive change. I hope you enjoy this art and find it as inspiring as we have.
