Neil Young joined Crosby, Stills, and Nash in 1969 after the trio's first album--and just in time for the group's second live performance ever, at Woodstock. Since then, Young has become a major voice for environmental causes, using biodiesel for his tour vehicles, and keeping green lyrics a constant in his newer albums, including 2003's Greendale and 2009's Fork in the Road, which addressed the environmental impact of the car industry and his building of a 1959 hybrid Lincoln.
