Buro North's modern, easy-to-assemble flat-packed trees are a low-energy alternative to your traditional tree -- and though they won't offer the same seasonal scent as a needle-dropping pine, they're eye-catching enough to make up for it.
The plantation-grown plywood is treated with non-toxic oils, and the production of the trees uses about 30% of the water and energy that conventional trees require. (Buro North Rindd Tree, $150-$350)
