Keep Calm and Carry On: 15 Motivational Posters From The Past That Are Just As Relevant Today

We have been doing these slideshows of old posters for a while, and this one was going to be about those earlier versions of motivator posters that are on every office wall, exhorting staff to teamwork and efficiency. When I planned this, I had no idea that Hurricane Sandy was going to create such a natural disaster, and how appropriate a poster like "Keep Calm and Carry On" might be.
The Keep Calm poster has become a classic. One of a series developed by the British Ministry of Information in 1939, it was pretty much lost for 60 years, and was rediscovered in a bookstore, which republished it, and the rest is history.
