Guide to the Green Projects in Obama's Stimulus Bill
As you've probably heard, there's a lot of green going on in that $787 billion stimulus bill recently signed into law. There's money for renewable energy research, funding for a giant high speed rail system, tax credits for wind power and efficient home improvements, and cash to help the military go solar--just to name a few. So, we've broken down the final bill and weeded out all the green we can expect to see from the stimulus--here are the projects that will be driving the government's green revolution in coming years.
High Speed Rail - There's $9.3 billion in the stimulus (and billions more in the proposed budget) to aid in the creation of a massive high speed rail system, and to make grants for other railroad projects like Amtrak.
