Tacos aren't the first thing that comes to mind when you try to list energy-guzzling, climate-killing products (they aren't even the first food). But in Mexico, where food vendors on the street used to employ charcoal and natural gas to power their taco grills, they've turned to solar power instead.

The solar-powered cart requires a $500 initial investment, but the long-term effects of using a solar cooker -- instead of relying on fossil fuels to prepare the food -- are priceless (especially for taco fans).
