Detroit Auto Show Exclusive: What's New and Green For 2011
Hyundai 40 MPG Veloster Coupe
Next we have the Veloster, which was launched in Detroit by Hyundai.
It's a small urban car that should get around 40 MPG on the highway. A couple of interesting things: The Veloster's powertrain also has an Active Eco mode which modifies engine and transmission control for improved fuel economy -- that translates into more than a seven percent improvement in real-world fuel economy -- and thanks to various weight reduction strategies, it is 400 pounds lighter than the Scion tC.
