Here's the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost (which, in Ford's terminology, means that it is turbocharged and uses direct injection, as well as other fuel saving tricks). Despite the diminutive size, this engine produces a respectable 123 horsepower and a peak torque of 148 lb.-ft, which in a car the size of the Fiesta should be plenty.

Ford expects it to deliver the best fuel economy of any non-hybrid car sold in America. We'll have to wait for the official EPA numbers to have the MPG numbers, though.
