Ignore the solar power doomsayers in Congress and in the polluting class on Solyndra representing the solar power industry. As a new piece over at Think Progress rightly highlights, the US solar industry is actually one of the fastest growing in America. Last year US solar grew 102%, with similar doubling growth expected this year. In fact the US had a $1.9 billion trade surplus in solar power products in 2010, with 73% of economic value of solar power installations remaining in the country. Over 93,000 people are employed by the industry in the US, with more than half of companies expecting to hire more people throughout this year. Read more: Think Progress
