We couldn't make this stuff up if we tried, and sadly, it's all true. A man has been arrested with baby exotic animals of all sorts stashed in his suitcase, in an attempt to smuggle the drugged leopard and bear cubs, monkeys, and more out of the country and sell them as pets in Dubai.

We also have birdwatchers faking bird photos, a cat and an owl that are best friends, endangered tortoises facing major habitat loss, salvation for petite rabbits, and more in the Week in Animal News.
