Forgot to Get a Gift? Give a Double E-Card

That's E as in Electronic and Environment. If you forgot to get a gift for someone you love this holiday season (or were surprised with a gift by someone else), there's no need to visit one of those 24-hour stores (the kind that make their employees work on Christmas). Consider donating to an environmental cause, like the David Suzuki Foundation, which will send out an e-card for a donation, and put the money toward environmental protection efforts. Choose salmon, grizzly bears, trees, fighting climate change, and other causes.

The foundation is a registered charity in Canada and the United States.

Or consider another favorite charity. The American Institute of Philanthropy has a nice list of top-rated environmental organizations.

And Care2.com donates a little to charities when you send free e-cards. Free.
