Zappos.com Now Sells Recycled Glass Dishware

Zappos.com, that gigantic shoe website where you can get tasteful and tasteless (and even vegan) shoes at cheap prices, now sells Recycled Glassware? Yep, and with a name like Highbury Collection of Recycled Glassware Serving Pieces, they're catering to the elite greenies with pieces like this. Surprise: the name may be highbrow, but the prices aren't. The Highbury Collection offers dinnerware pieces made from recycled wine bottles, soda bottles and other household glass items. The pieces are collected, crushed and created in Europe and then offered online at Zappos.com. The pieces may look clear in the photos but they actually have a light green tint to them.

Each piece is dishwasher and microwave safe, which should give them a longer lifespan without the chance of accidentally ruining your designer dishware when someone accidentally nukes it in the microwave. On the Zappos website there are tons of pieces in the Highbury collection, but not all of them are made from recycled glass, so keep an eye out. One way to tell the difference, the recycled glass pieces tend to have that mottled texture to them, whereas most of the other pieces are a smooth glass.

FYI: Most of the pieces are going fast. Like all Zappos.com products, shipping is free in both directions, so you can take a chance on that wedding gift, even if the wedding doesn't pan out. You can find all Highbury Recycled Glassware products online now at Zappos.com.
