Red "Q" Stool

At $4,000 for a writing table, Q Collection’s unfussy upscale wares are admittedly for those with discriminating taste and discretionary income. But rich and poor alike can undoubtedly relate to the transitional collection’s underlying ethos: eco-friendly furniture that sacrifices zilch in looks or luxe. Environmentalist Jesse Johnson and decorator Anthony Cochrane conceived the collection as a corrective to sustainable design’s still-too-prevalent 1970s-commune vibe. Pretty without being precious, the Moorish Cale & Brady stool-table utilizes FSC-certified woods, formaldehyde- and polyurethane-free finishes, and slim proportions. $2840.
