One by One Lamp by Steve Lechot

This lamp's minimal material use caught our eye, but just what is that material? It looks like paper, but it's really a heat-resistant fabric called Nomex, which is listed as "frequently recyclable" here. The lamp, which also comes as a free-standing floor version (see extended post), has energy-saving bulbs as standard, too. At 633.75 CHF ($523.16 USD) for the table-dwelling One by One-05 version, it's a bit more than you'd pay for a paper shade down at Ikea, so it might be best to think of it as sculpture.
