Muji Muj Muji

Muji is like a Japanese Ikea, but that uses recycled cardboard instead of brand-new birch veneer. Muji prides itself on using materials like unbleached cotton for socks and young plantation pines (harvesting them allows older pines to thrive). Normally, recycled cardboard looks messy and unsightly, but the boxes here are shapely and sturdy enough to store all manner of things on desktops or in closets. Order from Muji U.K. £2.95-8.95. Newsflash: A decent subset of Muji will be available at MOMA as of Oct 18th. ::Muji ::Moma
