Baguette Table Is Made Out Of Stale Bread
TreeHugger has noted before that over a third of all the food produced in the world is wasted. Polish designers Studio Rygalik "start a discussion about food waste by making tables from stale baguettes that were going to be thrown away.
These bread structures were part of a "bread experience" created by Gosia and Tomek Rygalik at the Vienna Design Week Laboratory, where people were surrounded by bread eating bread dishes from bread tables.
I don't think you would want to put a whole lot of weight on that table, but it's probably cheaper than IKEA and it certainly is compostable at the end of its useful life. More images at Studio Rygalik.
