Blythe Danner, Christina Applegate, and Maya Rudolph Join the Moms Clean Air Force (Video)

Blythe Danner, actress and famous mom (her daughter is Gwyneth Paltrow) took a few minutes to make this video supporting the Environmental Defense Fund's Moms Clean Air Force, a group that brings mothers together to work for a clean and healthy environment.

"Moms Clean Air Force is a new movement of women coming together to do everything they can to strengthen the Clean Air Act," says Danner. "I think there's such a nurturing instinct in women to cure, to heal. That is why it's so important that the Moms Clean Air Force really gathers strength."

But Danner isn't the only celebrity mother who sat down with the camera: Author Ayelet Waldman is passionate about the Moms Clean Air Force in part because of her own daughter's scary experience with mercury poisoning -- a result, she thinks, of her toddler's love for tuna fish. "Polluters have money, and they have political influence," she says. "We as mothers need to band together across the political spectrum and take on this issue for our children's sake."

And on the set of NBC's Up All Night, stars Christina Applegate and Maya Rudolph talked about their own reasons for joining the Force:
