Serial (and parallel!) entrepreneur Elon Musk, who is currently CEO of electric car maker Tesla Motors, chairman of solar energy system installer SolarCity, and CEO of space transportation company SpaceX, and who a few years ago founded and sold Zip2 and Paypal, recently gave a speech at the Martin School of the University of Oxford. The title of the presentation is "The Future of Energy and Transport", and Musk covers a lot of ground, including during a Q&A session at the end.

It's always interesting to hear Musk speak about his vision of the future, as he's a man who knows how to get things done and make it happen.

If you want to check it out, there's an embedded video player on this webpage, but for some reason it didn't work for me and I had to download the video file before playing it...

The video file is available here (571 megs), and the audio is available here (50 megs, the presentation isn't very visual, so the audio is a good option). Be warned, though, that a significant part of it is about space rockets (but you can always skip ahead thanks to the magic of technology). Discussion of Tesla begins at 29mins 22 secs in.

If after that you want more, check out a Q&A that Musk did with Reddit, and a great 1-hour interview that he did with PandoDaily.
