Nude 2010 Yoga Calendar Pulls Double Duty as Sexy Wall Art

I blab about yoga a lot here on TreeHugger and Planet Green. Plain and simple, it's awesome. Not just for staying youthful, fit and healthy--reducing the need (and waste) from over-the-counter and Rx drugs--but it's also low-impact. It requires nothing more than human energy, a yoga mat and some comfortable clothes.

Though I'm starting to think those last two items are questionable. Clothing? Why?I, for one, though stoked to use my new eco-friendly Jade yoga mat (thanks, Santa!) don't always need one. And now, inspired by Jasper Johal's exquisite photography of beautiful nude yogins, am questioning my yoga apparel.

OK, I'm kidding. Sort of. Though you won't find me flashing my classmates (or for that matter, my students) in Downward Facing Dog anytime soon, you will find me looking to Johal's 2010 Yoga Calendar called Body as Temple for some sexy inspiration to keep advancing in my practice. The featured practicioners and teachers are drop dead gorgeous, pictured pretzel-ed up into some super impressive poses. And while Johal's stunning photography bares all (so much so I couldn't include the photos here--sorry!), he delivers tasteful, true homages to the human form and its super-human potential.

Come 2011, you definitely won't want to ditch the calendar.

Greenies like me will adore the fact that it was designed specifically so you can readily frame your favorite shots and hang them as wall art. Et voila!
