Grapes may be one of nature's most versatile fruits: You can eat the seeds, you can turn them into jelly or juice, you can eat them fresh or preserved -- and then, of course, there's wine.

Growing them at home isn't as hard as it sounds -- at least, not if you pay attention to the tips in this guide, figuring out the how, where, and when of grape planting. We threw in a couple recipes for good measure -- like pickled grapes, a tasty, untypical pallet teaser.
