Slow food, a movement that has swept Europe and infiltrated the United States, began with an irate Italian journalist, condemning McDonald's from the Spanish Steps in Rome.

This episode, as founder Carlo Petrini himself now calls it, was just the beginning.Slow Food International turns 20 years old this year and to celebrate, Good is looking at the movement's history.
