Cows Fed Biodiesel Waste and Beef Gets Recalled

It may sound strange, but cutting into the industrial feed business—in which companies sell their unwanted byproducts to feedlots as food—is a competitive prospect. One of the latest entrants are biodiesel producers who want to sell glycerin for use in livestock feed.Meanwhile, Huntington Meat Pack, based in California, has recalled 860,000 pounds of ground beef—enough to infect the entire population of Mexico City.
