Loomtex

We thought you might like a closer look at the Loomtex product we showed you recently. Remember the chair made from paper. Look closely and you’ll spy that it’s a tightly twisted paper, woven through the ‘weft’ (sideways) with a vertical ‘warp’ of flax, which us lesser mortals might call linen This remarkable and flexible fabric comes in ten colours, like spice, taupe, storm and marble. Oh yeh ,and it can be made in widths up to 2300mm (7.5 feet). So eco-thinking designers love it. They can also put it to work as a durable carpet rug, with myriad weave patterns. ::Lloyd Looms [by WM]
