It's nothing new that for PETA, sex sells. Lots of naked folks on billboards, and stripping down to get the point across that animal products aren't cool. The latest video has Pamela Anderson at airport security, ensuring that people coming through the line know that "cruelty doesn't fly." But it's tough to say if this kind of cheesy, how-many-innuendos-can-you-fit-in-one-frame actually gets the message across.

We took it really easy on Angry Green Girls, who use sex and sarcasm to try and get the green message mainstream. While the sarcasm falls flat and is instead insulting, and the message is arguably lost among all the boob and crotch shots, all the press being mustered up about the fact that these girls want you to go green is worth allowing it a little space to breathe (and then peter out because no one likes to be treated like they're stupid).

But PETA, an organization with history, money, celebrity backing, and tons of resources at its disposal can (and should) do better than this. Luckily they step it up a notch with other videos, like this:

Now that is impactful, balancing humor with the shock-and-gross-out-factor and it doesn't take forever to get the point across.

That said, the green movement is increasingly broad and, to each their own. So...what do you think? Effective or no?
