MOTO Demos First Android-Powered e-Ink Display (Video)

The folks at MOTO Development Group have gotten the Android software to run on an e-ink display. This means there's an ultra low-power display option for running Android on devices other than a cell phone. Click through to watch a video of the demo in action.

You might be asking, "Why?" Well, MOTO sums it up:
The advantages of this kind of low-power screen device updated via wireless internet access could bring this connected technology to wearable computing or other screen uses that demand long-term deployment before recharging.
We won't see devices other than cell phones running Android any time soon, but it's great to see people exploring the possibilities of e-ink technology, and showing how it can eventually be used in conjunction with an OS like Android for more interactive devices.
We wouldn't be surprised if we start to see some interesting Kindle hacks pretty soon.
