Security lights are one item on a home that can be easy to switch to solar right away. And this item from MAXSA Innovations seems like an ideal product for that purpose. It's the brightest solar-powered motion light available, and it has some great features.

More specifically, according to their written materials, 6 hours of sunlight provides 240 activations of 30 seconds each. You can also use it as a solid porch light for about 2 hours a night.
Hopefully you don't have a lot of cats or wildlife in your neighborhood that'll set this thing off all night long and use up the charge.
It's certainly one small way for you to ditch the grid.
