Well over a year ago we brought news about Love Honey, a UK company that launched a sex toy recycling campaign to help keep e-waste from sex toys out of landfills. Their campaign collected over 1 ton of used toys.
Now a Florida-based business called Dreamscapes wants to do right by the earth and has launched one of the US’s first sex toy recycling programs. Read on for how you can get $10 for your old toys and keep the landfills cleared of these little-discussed sources of e-waste.
Not all, but many toys vibrate, which means they have electronic parts and batteries. Keeping these - as well as plastics, rubber, and silicon - out of landfills is important, and Dreamscapes recognizes this. Their Recycle Your Sex Toy program (really original title, I know…) helps to properly recycle and reuse the materials from the toys.
All you have to do is send off your well-washed toy to Dreamscapes. They’ll promptly send you a $10 gift certificate to their online store as a thank you. They’ll then disassemble the toys and send the rubber, silicone, plastic and motorized parts off to specialty recyclers where the materials will be reused. Batteries are also properly recycled.
"I know our industry is taboo, but we want to save the environment too," says CEO David Kowalsky in Rolling Stone Magazine.

Whilst I commend any/all recycling I'm not sure our outfit is going to rush into rabbit recycling!
Great to see a US company getting into sex toy recycling.
In the UK we've had great success over the past 18 months with our Rabbit Amnesty recycling program.
We've recycled thousands of them - you can find out more info and even see videos of the rabbits being recycled here:

What a great idea! It's OK to recycle everything else, it's about time for an outlet for these products.
Well its all news to us there isnt any form of "Rabbit Recycling" in Australia.
This site is much better for recycling sex toys, they give you $10 back for every toy, and they are a full facility not some guys basement (that's creepy).
They are also working with Doc Johnson (Impressive). You can read about it at Recycle Your Sex Toys
