A clever way to get someone to think twice about turning on the light is to require them to think before they’re even able to turn it on.
A concept design by Mingyu Jeung does exactly this.
You have to earn the ability to turn on this light by solving a randomly generated math problem. Working for your lighting is a great way to keep the brain young and the planet a little greener.
The light features a chalk board to help with the calculations. The only question is, how do you solve the problem in the dark…without a light?
