Transformer Furniture: Quickie by Jared Dickey
by Lloyd Alter, Toronto
on 11.12.08

Transformer furniture lets people get more out of small spaces, and you are going to be a neat minimalist if you have to clean off your desk before you go to bed every night.

The designer writes:
Quickie is my thesis project from Cranbrook. It summarizes my work in examining mythology to create objects for daily life. The piece combines the funcion of a sliding desktop with a bed, allowing users to combine their ability to perform office work along with other more desirable life activities such as sleep, or romance.
