Jax and Bones may not be completely eco-friendly, but it's still taking significant strides to ensuring a more sustainable future for us and our four-legged pals, which in our opinion, is plenty to bark about.

It's entire bedding collection, for instance, is made in-house in the United States. The beds themselves are filled with post-consumer fiber made from recycled plastic bottles, and we'd love to see hemp or organic cotton covers as a next step.

Jax and Bones' Good Karma rope toys, which the company claims will improve dental health by naturally flossing teeth, are made from 100 percent hand-tied cotton (albeit the conventional kind) and are colored with vegetable dyes. A portion of the proceeds from each purchase goes to The Rescue Train, a California-based non-profit no-kill dog and cat rescue.

Meanwhile, a solid 100 percent of the proceeds from Jax and Bone's Candle With a Cause—available in Puppy Love and Cat's Meow scents—are donated to The Rescue Train. Featuring images of rescued animals, each candle is made from all-natural soy wax. ::Jax and Bones
