A few years ago we got all excited about Pedalite’s self-charging bike light as a cool way to be seen without having to use batteries. Well they’re putting out another cool product – the solar-powered Anklelite.
The device fits around a rider’s ankle, or arm or whatever other preferred spot, and can charge up using sunlight or artificial light. On a full charge, it provides three hours of flashing light. They’re even conscious in their packaging, which is made of recycled cardboard.
As expected of any outdoor product like this, it’s weather resistant and has reflective strips for added visibility. I like the idea of having this when I walk my dog at night.
The product will be out for sale sometime around December, just in time for some holiday gift-giving.
