The soy based ink adds another point to the laser vs inkjet debate from a couple weeks ago. Are there any soy based ink refills, or some other inkjet technology I can utilize. I went with inkjet because we occasioanlly print pictures for our rural family who have only dial up internet because we don't print a lot so a laser printer would waste a lot of energey for us in the fuser warm up for those occiasional prints.
Soy ink and recycled paper are NOT environmental friendly! Soy ink because it's a water based ink and so dissolves better/more in water and so pollutes (jea it's not harmless at all!) it more than "oil" based. You wonder how the ink get's into some water? Simply when the paper it's printed on get's recycled! Paper recycling uses ALOT of water that is not TOTALY clean when it leaves the facility! And it's even less clean when it produces recycling paper. This paper is not fully cleaned from toner and ink and so it produces heavier polluted water. That’s why you too should NOT use recycled toilet paper it maybe will get distributed after treatment to your Farmer and to his field.
