I grew up at a summer camp named for Thoreau's Walden. Recently the original owner passed away, but while at summer camp he taught us about nature, simplicity and loving the moment you were in.
My wife and I were talking about consumerism this weekend, after we saw a POD in someone's driveway. "Wouldn't it be nice, " I said, "if people collected knowledge rather than things?"
Nice quote and a great photo to go with it - simplicity is beautiful.
