Obama Is The Man Organic Cotton Tees

Obama lovers can wear their presidential endorsement on their sleeves—literally—with pro-Barack T-shirts from Obama Is The Man, the brain child of Aron Kressner of Vivavi.

Made from 100 percent organic cotton and printed with water-based inks, the shirts come in six different sizes, in both men's and women's styles. (How's that for democratic?) Better still, a buck from each sale goes to the Obama campaign. You can even view videos made by people who are promoting change in their own lives, or upload your own pièce de résistance if the spirit moves you.

So much for political neutrality from the folks at Treehugger. Not that they've made much of an effort to disguise the pro-Obama rhetoric in the past, of course. I suppose it's the shirts that make the post relevent to this site. Yes, that's it. Tell me...if I put together a nice logo that says, "Go Big Oil", but I put it on shirts made of organic cotton with soy ink, could I have a post dedicated to me as well? Please keep this trash off the site!!!

I'm all for sustainable fashion, and for a Barack Obama presidency, but the top image is not what we should be looking for.

Would you put a white candidate in a blaxploitation-inspired setting with sexually objectified images of women and call him "Mother Lovin'"?

Ick.

Great... I can add this to my relics collection that includes Dukakis, Kerry, Mondale, McGovern, etc.- the Democratic LOSERS t-shirt collection.

Treehugger...I am beginning to doubt the mission of this website. Promoting a political t-shirt just because it is made of 'organic cotton' does not promote the Green Movement. Seems like you guys are just a bunch of 70's hippies now grown up and trying to make a buck

While I am pro-Obama, I can't help but think that that first shirt might just put more fuel on the fire for anti-Obamanites, particularly the racist ones.

And that last one... I don't think it's appropriate to associate death (the skull) with someone you want to win presidency.

jump to top Stefanie says:

I don't know... these tees seem to sort of trivialize things, don't they? Putting a guitar by Obama as if he is on a rock and roll tour.... Or the sexy babes in bikinis? Er, Times are kinda bad, with the war and all. Should we really be concerned with making Obama look hip and cool and work with hipster outfits - - or just concerned with who he really is and what he stands for (certainly not babes and rock tours.) The skull one is especially a misfire - just what the far right wants to see - - you associating him with a symbol "death" - -
geez.

Give the man his dignity back. I don't get this site, at times like this. Are you selling t-shirts for individual companies or promoting a green consciousness? If people have $1 to give Barack and his campaign, do it without having to buy a t-shirt.

I like the way they strategically positioned that lighthouse! Oh my!

The shirts are great, the designs ROCK! Lighten up! In tense times, it's good to see somebody can support a candidate with a sense of style and humor.

Most of these posts are classic small town american point of views...from a design perspective I think they are fun and inspirational. It is people like these posters who will pin point the negative in anything. From a business point of view...THESE T-SHIRTS DESIGNS ARE DIRECTED TOWARD CERTAIN TYPES OF CONSUMERS. The people who left negative comments can find PLENTY of t-shirt designs on this site that are pleasing to their eye. If not, the internet is huge and move you pretty little IP somewhere else! Hahaha. You guys keep up the progressive designs and have fun doing it! These T's will sell!

Perhaps you will like these Ts that actually promote the policies with cool designs and printed on USA organic cotton:
