angelina jolie pregnant photo...New moms rejoice! Even the seemingly perfect Angelina needs to work to get her pre-pregnancy shape back. With her twins not even a week old, she's already put herself on an organic diet - one that's high in fresh vegetables and Omega-3. According to her friend, Angelina's menu includes "organic salmon with tomatoes, brown bread and herbs for breakfast, while mackerel or grilled fresh tuna with watercress, spinach tomatoes is typical for lunch or dinner."

Heidi Klum's Green Project Runway:
heidi klum project runway photoThe supermodel is planning an eco-fashion showdown this season on her fashion reality show Project Runway. "You can make a lot of great things with eco-friendly material," attests Klum. She also wants to go greener on the home-front. For starters, she stopped tossing her kids' old clothes. She now donates them to Baby Buggy; a charity that distributes used clothing to children in need. "Most of the time my kids' clothes are hardly worn. They grow out of them so quickly. So, it's a simple way to give back,"

Naomi Campbell's Green Good Deed:

Has superdiva Naomi Campbell turned over a new leaf? Notorious for her raging temper, Naomi actually looked "peaceful" and "kind" planting trees. The supermodel had a "green moment" in Nigeria when she helped with a tree-planting campaign for The Abuja Green Society. For every child born in a hospital within the region, the organization will plant a tree.

All that fish, Angelina!! What about Mercury?

WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

If the fish is organic, it was probably farm raised in an controlled organic environment. Mercury tainted fish come from contaiminated ocean/lakes.

I think its great she's doing the organic diet. fresh organic fish is so good for breastfeeding moms, and knowing angelina she'll probably be doing that. I hate that i find myself jealous of the celebs that can afford to be more eco freindly with thier cars and their whole lifestyles. We're trying to go more green but at the rate we can afford to go by the time i'm 80 we will be totally green. And for me that's another 53 years.
But don't get me wrong I love then for doing their part, and i truly beleive that Angelina and Brad are defenitly doing theirs. :0)

It seems to me Treehugger is sending out more and more of this celebrity stuff. It was always there but now I feel I am getting these in emails more and I really don't care what celebrities are doing. What I liked about Treehugger before this phase of things was that it was about genius people who are unknown, working and doing amazing things that we needed to hear about. Articles on what Angelina eats for lunch are ridiculous or what single person purchased a hydrogen car can be on the website for those who want to sign up for it - - but I don't want to get this stuff in my inbox. Can we have a way of tailoring our treehugger emails so we can choose what subjects we are interested in? So I can leave the tabloid worship out of my life?

In general though, I think Treehugger should not re-enforce celebrity-worship culture and rebel a little more. There is something very un-green about that side of our society, at its root (the butt-kissing and specialized treatment, private jets and multiple homes that celebrity worship earns a select few.)

i hate fake hollywood, and whats that suppose to do for the rest of us after it boosts hollywoods ego, give us a false sense of accomplishment. that united states is making a difference... i dont have to feel so bad now.

jump to top Joe Wilson says:

I agree with Reb,but at the same time I think that it is good that these 'celebrity role models' are doing some good for the world. I think that these issues are posted because people do follow what celebrities do. I think that everyone on Tree hugger already has a lot of these beliefs and is part of this green phase. Instead, they should be posting these articles on television and focus on people who are not changing there ways and DO need celebrity influence to think and wantt to start changing their lifestyle for the better.

We need better role models for the youth of this nation. WOrking towards a sustainable life style is 'cool'.

jump to top jonna says:

i think now that being Green is suddenly becoming cool not only we will see more celebrities adopting the Green message but we will see more Green marketing gimmicks for every product you can imagine. I think it's important that we are all aware and educate others about this too.
