White House Won’t Open EPA Emails on Global Warming, Part Two: The Funnier Version

Here at Treehugger we all thought our headline on yesterday’s news about the White House refusing to open EPA emails was pretty funny take on a very serious issue. Well, we should have known that the professional comedians would one up us.

John Stewart: “ The White House avoided implementing the EPA’s recommendations [on global warming] by informing the agency they would not open the email. The White House is treating the American environmental policy like a spam boner pill ad!”

Thanks to Max Gladwell for tipping us off on this one.

Is Bush not running the US as if he were a dictator? Or is this some kind of democratic communist leadersh.... ruling. Ironic, the people of the US are first to protest at other countries with leadership that is not "democratic" yet turn a blind eye to their own government brain washing them. I don't know why the people of the US are not in the streets protesting like the good old days!? Or are they all too fat and they just stay home and yell at the TV?

Tactical genius, the White House has load of methods of dealing with bad news that are bordering on the brilliant: http://www.236.com/news/2008/06/25/the_white_house_is_rubber_ever_7365.php

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sigh.

Thanks for linking me. It's just impossible to express how absurd this all is. I feel like we're going to wake up on inauguration day 2009 as if this were all a bad dream. And as much as I want it to be over, I truly hope the Obama administration holds the Bush admin accountable for everything. I want to see heads roll. Bush should go to prison, along the rest of his enablers. Scott McLellan is just the start of the revelations. Others will turn in hopes of avoiding prison.

I could care less if heads roll or not. I'd rather see energy directed towards solving problems than punishing those who have failed to do so. History will only remember the Bush years more if we fail to move on.

I'm glad to see that Supreme court ruling when Massachusetts sued the EPA, in which the Court ruled the the EPA had the legal authority and indeed obligation to regulate CO2, is having an effect... or not.
