Ever want to be able to show a non-green friend a quick overview of different renewable energy solutions ? The Environmental Defense Fund is coming to your rescue with a series of short (2 minute-ish) videos explaining solar, wind, wave, geothermal energy, and biofuels. The series is called “Unleash the Future"—only the Intro and Solar videos are up at the moment—and is viewable on the :: Environmental Defense Fund website.

Agreed. They tech is pretty much all there. Definitely so if you agree to use nuclear to pick up the slack until one of the other options reaches comparable cost in a decade or two.

As a scientist, this makes me very sad. If our problems were technological I would say, ok, let's work on solutions. But I know that by and large, our problems are created by bad policy. So we really do need to push on all our non-green friends, convince people that they need to act yesterday if they want our standard of living and quality of life to continue to improve and to spread around the world.
