We're hoping that you've been following the newly launched Planet Green, the first ever 24-7 TV channel dedicated to green living. With more than 200 hours of original green lifestyle programming, Planet Green is a fresh conversation about what it means to be environmental. We've been bringing you clips from the new shows and encourage you to use our channel finder so you can watch Planet Green in your home.

We've featured Wa$ted, Mean Green Machines, Hollywood Green, Renovation Nation, and Supper Club., G Word and Stuff Happens. Today we're bringing you the scoop on Alter Eco.

Presented by Adrian Grenier (best known for his HBO hit series) and his "entourage" of green activists, experts, and friends, Alter Eco is an eco lifestyle and makeover series.

Catch a clip with more info below the fold.

Alter Eco will follow Grenier's outrageous “Green Team” of designers and lifestyle experts as they help celebrities and ordinary folks learn the small steps they can take to transition their lives to green bliss. Whether it's surprising a family who wants to go green, going wine-tasting at an eco-friendly winery, or tagging along with a celebrity friend to the latest eco-resort, Grenier will show you how cool and easy it is to embrace a hip green lifestyle. As all work and no play makes for a dull show, Alter Eco always concludes with a meal or a gathering where Grenier and his green team celebrate their accomplishments for the week.

Catch Alter Eco today at 4:00pm only on Planet Green. To check out the full lineup of Planet Green, visit the weekly schedule.

I'm excited for this show and channel. I really want to learn how to be more green. I'm kind of just starting out compared to many other readers here, I presume. I'm hoping to catch up quickly.

Much like Entourage, Alter Eco gives the viewer a glimpse of a life most of us will never obtain. This is a common problem I see often when observing the "green movement". Many (not all) of the eco-solutions are only viable to the affluent. Where's the show about the common man going green? The housing projects going green? The world's poor are not going to jump on the green bandwagon if they can't afford to make eco-friendly life changes. I urge the creative minds of Planet Green to strongly consider launching shows that address the economic divide that is a prevalent facet of the environmental movement.

Ben, that's a very good point. I personally have been watching these shows enough where I've been noticing some of the cheaper and even free things I can do. Hopefully they'll realize that they may need to focus on the cheap and free a little more for us typical folk.

    linkblue,

I agree. There are some freebies available in their programming. But there is also a lot of room expansion. Good luck on your green evolution.

I myself am defineately into the GREEN MOVEMENT.
I live in New York City and I walk "A LOT" always have, I walk when most people would take a Taxi. I hardly ever take a TAXI, I mostly walk oe take teh SUBWAY.
Back to the Green Channel. I LOVE all the shows, but ESPECIALLY "LOVE, LOVE LOVE"
LIVING with ED... This show is FANTASTIC. Ed Begley Jr, is Great in this show, as is his wife Rachel. It's a lot of FUN watching them TEASE each other and bust each others horns. All the info on Eco Living is GREAT. It's Fun watching them Living the Green life and all the ups and downs.
The episodes with Larry Hagman, Jay Leno, Jackson Brown, and EDS neighbors are Fun and are good segments.
I hope LIVING with ED is "Hugely Sucessful" as I LOVE the show and want it to stay on AIR a Long TIME. Living with ED is giving Anthony Bourdains "No Reservations" a run for the Money for my FAVORITE SHOW on TV. "ITS the GREATEST"
Good Luck and Keep Up the GREAT WORK.. LOVE IT. Long Life!!!! DAN
