11 -- According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the average home owner’s gas-powered lawn mower pumps out as much pollution per hour as 11 automobiles do. We suggest you try a reel mower or alternatives to grass instead.
1,300,000 -- Estimate of how many gas-powered mowers there are in the US according to the Electric Power Research Institute.
2,000,000 -- If half of those gas mowers were replaced by electric mowers (or reel mowers, or low-lying native species of plants), it would be the equivalent of taking 2 million cars off the roads in terms of emissions.
