Very pretty - but I'm feeling gunshy on plastics right now, especially after the whole BPA mess. At the risk of sounding paranoid, what are the odds that something in Eastman Tritan will be found to be dangerous? I think I'll stick with my new stainless-steel bottle for the time being, thanks.

I too will be sticking with the stainless steel, its been around much longer than any of these plastics and haven't heard anything bad about it..

I fail to see how this item is green. It is made of plastic, a petroleum product, and just like most plastics it is NOT biodegradable. The production and distribution of such an item requires an inordinate amount of energy, and has a huge carbon footprint.
Eventually, when the trendiness wanes, or a part breaks, it will end up in a landfill, or on the street where it will be washed into the sea at the first rain. Like all plastic it will be with us for hundreds of years, or more, polluting our water and land.

You are obviously shills for all sorts of polluting manufacturers as evidenced by the dense advertising on every one of your pages.
There are all sorts of thinly veiled product promotions in many of your articles, from computers to cars, and this stupid plastic bottle that do nothing to contribute to a cleaner planet.
Just like carbon credits, your site is yet another misguided "solution" to what truly ails us; a never ending drive to buy stuff.

If the purchase of one reusable bottle prevents you from buying and throwing away another 300 bottles over the course of a year, I think it's fair to say it's a more responsible option. This could drastically cut down someones total waste stream. Especially if they are new to the "green" lifestyle.

As for TH being a shill...that's just ignorant. In the cases that there is a prior relationship of some sort, there is always a disclaimer posted by the writer.

And you're right consumerism is devastating to our planet and has marred our culture, but I'm glad that you took part in it long enough to buy a computer so you could get online and post your self-righteous blather.

I don't get all the negative attitude here...have you looked in the trash can at your gym lately? I see so many water bottles being chucked into the regular can. They even have a recycle can available inside, but the one just outside the front door is full of empty plastic bottles. If this attractive bottle that is BPA free will attract some of these wasteful people to start re-using instead of tossing bottles--then that is one small step to helping the planet. If it helps a few more people to be healthy that is a good thing. If it gets someone to THINK about what small things they could do and act on them---and a bunch of people do a few small things--we will make progress to a better earth. Let's try to encourage re-use of items every bit helps.

I don't think everyone is being negative about the product. The comments are quite positive for the most part, and point out that reusing a single plastic water bottle hundreds of times is much better than one-use plastic water bottles. However, everyone is concerned about leaching plastic for health reasons. I am too, and have recently replaced all my Nalgene bottles with stainless.

I think the whole idea of getting a another product out that encourages re-use instead of tossing is another step in the positive direction - guess Dan doesn't see that? we don't all live out in the woods eating berries. Some of us, including Dan, use computers and internet--it is reality that we live in a consumer based world. So let's make the best of it and pollute less whenever we can.

Stainless steel--yes it isn't plastic, but I just think this KOR bottle is just plain sexier!

The one thing I need to know, is can you lay it down sideways in a lunchkit or backpack and have it NOT leak? If that's the case I might try it. We use stainless steel right now but at times they sweat which also isn't ideal, but a washcloth to wrap the stainless bottle in solves that problem!
