Julia Roberts' Green Shopping Trip
by Terri MacLeod on 06.27.08
James Gandolfini, Brooke Shields, Brad and Angelina, and Kermit are rocking the green life as well.

Unlike some green-talking stars, Julia is a genuine go-to-green gal. She knows to shop with re-usable bags. The actress always tries to pack up her goods in ‘organic’ bags, as seen here at a supermarket in Los Angeles. She and her hubby Danny Moder are also fixing up their Malibu home with lots of hip green updates, including building with wood harvested from ‘sustainbly managed forest, solar panels, and recycled tiles.

Brad and Angelina’s Green Heart:

...These power do-gooders continue their mission to ‘make the world a better place.’ The busy couple, who are expecting their fifth and sixth kids any moment, still have time to pay attention to other kids in need. The couple donated $1 million to help kids affected by the war in Iraq. The money will go to re-building schools in Iraq and helping kids in United States who lost a parent in the war. “These educational support programs for children of conflict are the best way to help them heal,” declares Jolie.

The tough guy actor hit the auction block at Christie’s in New York City. The actor consigned 25 of Tony’s outfits and donated the nearly $200 thousand take to wounded war veternans. Up for grabs: Tony’s bathrobe, which went for $13,750. The mob king’s outfit he wore when he got shot (a snazzy tank top and black pants) snagged $44,0000. And, the Soprano’s boxers fetched a cool $5,000. “I think we spent a world record for underwear,” teased the actor.
