Battle of the Titans: Colbert Report vs. Jacquot Report (pronounced "jah-quo ree-pore")
On Friday we brought you the esteemed Mr. Stephen Cobert's irrefutable argument proving that ethanol has already solved the energy crisis. In the face of the rock-solid evidence resolving once and for all any dispute, our own Jeremy Jacquot rips the scab off a closed case. In expected liberal, know-it-all fashion, Jacquot wastes our time with a presentation of "the facts" in his post Biofuel Comparison Chart: The "Good," the Bad and the (Really) Ugly. As for facts, it is a well-known one that Jacquot is a selfish Birkenstock-wearing hippy who, even though the world's hungry need access to American corn and soy, would deny supplying those food stocks simply because said would come delivered in the form of gasoline.
Given our colleague's deviation from the TreeHugger party line of "Bringing Green to the Mainstream," (hello, fuel from plants not oil, what part of "alternative energy" don't you understand Mr. Jacquot? ) we're heartened to see the Democratic candidates unified on a new and innovative solution for diminishing American energy consumption contributing to climate change. Listen and learn, Jacquot, this is vision, listen and learn...
