That's beautiful! It these photos don't put a smile on your face you just aren't human!

Actually, these photos remind me of the time I tried to hand-rear three baby hedgehogs that I found beside their dead mother. Unfortunately it was pre-internet - yes, there was such a time, and not so long ago too! - so I'd no idea what to do with them and, it being weekend, there was no one to ask. Sadly, I gave them what I believed all animals needed: milk! Probably the worst thing I could've done. Poor little things all died. Still, they would've died anyway, either of exposure or as a meal for a fox or something.

It's always heartwarming to see such pictures as those here, especially if they're of an endangered species as it means there's always hope.

They're really just over-sized raccoons.

I am 56 and have been almost a biologist for 54 years.
1. when all is said and done panda bears really are bears, and not closely related to raccoons. RED pandas are closely related to raccoons. People saw similar traits-markings-and drew an incorrect inference. I was myself very surprised to learn this just a couple of years ago.
2. Ugly? You silly person, listen up. You and I were a lot uglier than that practically up to the same point. And what matters the standard you are using? At this point in life a butterfly is a horror, even birds are monsters. Actually birds never even outgrow it, in the eye of any beautiful bird, even a cardinal, there's a hungry dinosaur sizing you up, Before it decides you're too big, and leaves you alone.
