And at the end, he says that he'll still eat meat. Doesn't sound like he's changing much. That's one less convinced. I hope a lot of people are!

When will people realize that we're sacrificing so much for meat and corn???

Every time I look at meat (as food), it haunts me!

great Presentation on, well food. I had no idea that cows put out so much methane, and i really do think i am going to go vegetarian after watching this video. Thank you Mark Bittman for all of your useful information. Wish I was in an are where I could buy local grown food.

We've moved to just eating grass-raised and finished meat (and eggs), from a ranch about 30 miles from us (lucky Texan). I can't bring myself to buy mass-produced meat anymore. The only glitch for us is eating out. It's rare to find a reasonably-priced restaurant that even identifies their source of meat. And we still haven't figured out the fish conundrum (unlucky Texan).

I realize this puts me in the "elitist" category, and this stuff is expensive ($3.99 for a dozen eggs). But I feel the same way about cheap meat as cheap gas: it artificially increases the quantity we consume.
